All Grown Up

I just wanted to share a picture I took of my not so little sister Bobbi. I remember when she was born. I was seven and so excited to be an older sister. When I was little I used to say my prayers asking god to give me a little sister. I was more than thrilled when she arrived. Now look at her, she's all grown up. Time sure does go by fast. No more Barney and Friends. Now it's Roy and her friends. Wink, Wink! Love ya Bee.

Book Worm

Yesterday I went to Barnes and Noble to pick up some books for the baby.  Paul and I really want her to enjoy reading. We both feel that it is important for her to start early.  I got a few classics and some fun finger puppet books. I still need to add some more to her collection but I think this is a good start.

Miss Dolly

So, this arrived today. I was so happy when the FedEx carrier knocked at our front door. When I first saw this I thought I have to get this for my baby. I love the dolls brown skin and curly hair. I hope my daughter likes this more than me. I just had to take a picture of her to share with you guys.

Doodle Dee Doodle

Like most pregnant woman I am no stranger to the lack of sleep I have been experiencing. If I'm not getting up to use the bathroom, than I'm tossing and turning due to the extra swollen belly of mine. The other night while I was up I had the itch to draw. This is SO unlike me. Well...I take that back I guess I feel this way about once a year. So I put my pencil to paper and here's what I came up with.

The Newly Wed

So a long time friend of mine recently got married and I was privileged enough to be in her wedding. It was a crazy day but fun. The weather was perfect and she looked beautiful.  I on the other hand was nice and round due to little Missy in my tummy. I was bummed that I did not get to take pictures since I was in the wedding but at least I was able to snap one of her before the ceremony. I was just talking to Paul today about how everything is changing. I remember visiting her at Stanford and life was so different back then. I don't even feel like that same person anymore. Now she's married and I'm a soon to be mother. I am so glad however, that we have stayed in touch for all of these years. I can't wait to be there for her if and when she decides to have a little one of her own. Love ya girl.

Welcome

2012 has brought about so many changes for us. We are no longer just a family of 2. We have been married for close to 10 yrs. and together for 12 yrs. It was definitely time for a change.  I knew I always wanted to adopt a little girl and after discussing it with Paul last November we decided what would be best for us is to try to have a baby on our own. 2 1/2 weeks later I found out I was pregnant. I thought since our lives are so different now it would be good to start a new blog to go with it. I am no longer blogging at aveebaby anymore. I have decided to close down my photography site as well and focus on some more important things. Our little girl will be here in a month and with that being said I am eagerly anticipating her arrival. We can't wait to meet her.
